How to Apply
First, you’ll need to find an Indian Embassy in your home country. There are many to choose from throughout Asia and Europe, but there is only one in North America. It’s located in Washington, D.C., though it can take several weeks to schedule a visa interview—even longer if you live outside of North America. If possible, try to visit your embassy during business hours so that you can avoid long lines and delays on your application. Once you have scheduled your appointment, bring two passport photos with you along with proof of travel plans and proof of funding for your trip; don’t forget about India-specific visas if needed—and always read up on any additional requirements ahead of time!

Where to Apply?
To apply for an Indian visa, you’ll need to visit one of India’s embassies, consulates, or high commissions abroad. The official list of Indian embassies can be found here. The application process is similar no matter where you apply. Before submitting your paperwork, however, make sure to check that India has a diplomatic presence in your country (most do). As always, give yourself plenty of time before your intended departure date. Visas are not issued on short notice and some embassies will only allow you to apply during limited hours (generally between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm). Fees & Charges
Both S. Koreans and Taiwanese citizens must pay US$ 70 as a service charge to obtain a visa. This fee is non-refundable, even if your application is denied. Additionally, both nationals are required to submit their passport’s original data page with their application. If you don’t submit your passport’s original data page along with your visa application, it could delay processing by 4–6 weeks and possibly result in the rejection of your application.
